A GREENER STEP
Through the Cooling-as-a-Service model, Dalkia Middle East will design and manage state-of-the-art cooling systems tailored to our operational needs. Instead of investing in large-scale infrastructure, we adopt a service-based approach that ensures efficient energy use, improved system performance, and long-term environmental benefits. The result is smarter energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and reliable cooling designed for the Middle East climate.
THE PARTNERSHIP
The agreement was signed in the presence of Steve Lemoine, CEO of Dalkia Middle East, and Harish Pilar, General Manager of Marco Polo Hotels, highlighting a shared commitment to sustainable hospitality.
“Partnering with Dalkia Middle East is a meaningful step in our sustainability journey,” said Harish Pilar. “Their Cooling-as-a-Service solution will enhance our energy efficiency while supporting our environmental goals, without compromising the guest experience.”

WHY IT MATTERS?
Cooling is essential to guest comfort in a region with high temperatures, yet traditional systems consume significant energy. With sustainable cooling solutions, we aim to reduce energy use, lower our carbon footprint, improve efficiency, and maintain reliable comfort. This initiative supports global sustainability goals and strengthens our commitment to responsible hospitality.
SHARED VISION
The agreement was formalised by Steve Lemoine, CEO of Dalkia Middle East, and Harish Pilar, General Manager of Marco Polo Hotels. Both leaders share a commitment to advancing sustainable practices within the hospitality sector. This partnership reflects common values of innovation, efficiency, and environmental stewardship, setting the foundation for long-term impact.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Implementation of the Cooling-as-a-Service model will begin in the coming months across our hotel facilities. As the systems are integrated, we anticipate measurable improvements in energy performance and environmental impact. Sustainability at Marco Polo Hotel Dubai is not a one-time initiative; it is an ongoing commitment. We will continue to explore responsible solutions that benefit both our guests and the communities we operate in.
